Should Paula
Abdul Leave American Idol?
|
Do the song titles "Vibeology," and "Spellbound"
mean anything to you? Those titles don't ring a bell
huh? Well those are the titles of two songs from Paula
Abdul's sophomore album Spellbound. Paula was
never critically acclaimed as a singer. As a matter
of fact, when the tour to promote her sophomore album
was canceled due to an injury the media buzzed that
the tour was canceled because of all of the controversy
regarding whether she lipped sync, or if her voice
was even "real." At the time there were
rumors that her background singers vocals were blended
with hers, and some media even buzzed that her voice
was electrically enhanced in the studio. Several studio
singers even filed a lawsuit regarding the use of
their vocals on the Forever Your Girl album.
I love Spellbound and was always a fan of Paula's
but when I heard she was a judge on the new show American
Idol a few years ago I instantly assumed that she
was going to be choreographing the show and giving
the talent dance lessons or something. I had no idea
she was going to be critiquing songs.
That aside, now this new scandal. I do believe that
Paula Abdul had some kind of inappropriate relationship
with Corey Clark. He shouldn't have even had her phone
number. Those phone records convince me that they
had some kind of communication outside of the structure
of the show and I just don't believe this young man
is lying about everything. In my opinion, if they
were just having an affair that is one thing. I feel
the most damaging aspects of his allegations is that
she allegedly coached him on what songs to choose
and his fashion. I shouldn't even post this story
because I am sure it will have to be updated very
soon. I am about 100% positive that Paula won't be
back as a judge. If she did put her career come back
in jeopardy because of this young guy that is so foolish.
The scandal won't go away and I'm sure the people
behind the show will pay her to go away quietly. They
won't fire her, that will alienate fans of the show
that don't want her to leave. She will resign gracefully
with a nice little payment I'm sure. Some websites
are hosting polls to suggest Paula's replacement.
I think Janet Jackson, Taylor Dayne (she's trying
to make a come back), Jody Watley (Fox probably won't
think she is big enough) or Madonna (she would never
do it), would make great replacements. |

| Anna Nicole
Deserves Some Props |
Anna Nicole Smith deserves a round of applauds.
No doubt about it she was fat a few years ago
when she appeared on the E Show Anna Nicole.
Anna Nicole got with Trim Spa and lost over
70 pounds and she looks good. Some people tried
to diss her saying she had lost too much weight.
Don't you just love the tabloids? First they
attacked her for being too big then they hated
on her saying she had gotten too small. Anna
Nicole and the tabloids have kissed and made
up. One tabloid Anna has gotten friendly with
is the National Enquirer. Anna now has her own
column that appears in the new and improved
National Enquirer every week. Her column is
quite interesting. Recently she addressed the
claims that a woman named Donna Hogan has made
to the press. Donna is Anna's half sister, but
according to Anna she has never met the woman
(who is her fathers daughter), and that she
didn't even learn that the woman existed until
she became a celebrity. Anna also dishes her
feelings about other celebrities and provides
readers with insight about her life. Anna really
has made a huge come back. Prior to the reality
show and losing the weight Anna was really a
person of the whose star was on the rapid decline.
She really has turned her world around. She
also hints that she might have another television
show in the works. You can check out Anna's
column on-line at http://www.nationalenquirer.com/Anna |

| Who is
Jacki-O and is she using this Foxy beef to make
a come up? |

If you read magazines like The Source, Vibe,
XXL and frequent websites such as allhiphop.com
and sohh.com
then you have probably heard of Jacki-O.
She is a Miami rapper who was poised for national
success with the release of her debut album
Po Little Rich Girl. Well the album was
released last fall, and didn't really blow Jacki-O
up that much. Now she was in the studio last
month and a fight allegedly broke out between
her and female rapper Foxy Brown. In Foxy's
version of the events that took place she says
a fight never happened. Jacki-O claimed victory
in the girlfight and quickly released her Foxy
Brown diss song, "T.K.O." The song
is giving Jacki some of her first widescale
national air play. Some people feel like Jacki
is using this incident to blow up her career.
Rap beefs do garner artists attention. The beef
between Ja Rule and 50 Cent has gone on for
years and 50's beef with just about everyone
garnered major buzz for his sophomore release
The Massacre. I personally, think it
was in poor taste for Jacki-O to claim victory
in the "fight." It's a petty and childish
situation. |
