1) How long have you been writing books?
I've been writing since I was 7 years old. I've been a published author
since 2001. I love to write books. It's something I enjoy very much. I
like to entertain people with my stories.
2) What inspired you to write Be My Sorority Sister-Under Pressure?
Be My Sorority Sister-Under Pressure was inspired by the pressure
that many young women face to join sororities--especially if they have
parents who are members of Greek organizations.
3) What inspired you to write The Unplanned Pregnancy Book for Teens
and College Students?
I wanted young women facing an unplanned pregnancy to be able to find
a non-judgemental book that would provide them with factual information
they could utilize. The book is not opinionated. The information is there
and the women can read the book and determine how to proceed with their
unplanned pregnancy.
4) What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy surfing the web. I enjoy reading non-fiction books. I like to
play video games.
5) How do you balance an author career and three kids?
I write when I find time. Usually in the evening time after I put the
kids down to bed. Writing really makes me happy. I don't get to travel
and promote my books as much as I would like to, so I really rely on the
Internet to spread the word about my books. I try to get out there and
see the people when I can.
8) What's next for Dorrie Williams-Wheeler?
I plan to release several fiction titles in the future. I also plan on
releasing an updated and more extensive version of The Unplanned Pregnancy
Book for Teens and College Students. |
