Dem Franchise Boyz currently have a hit song with
"I Think They Like Me-The Remix." They are joined
on the track with fellow Atlanta artists Jermaine Dupri,
Da Brat and Bow Wow.
Their album On Top of Our Game arrives February
7th.
They are very pleasant to talk with an they answer questions
in unison. They are definitely a group that is in synch
with one another.

How are you all doing today?
Dem Franchise
Boyz-I'm fine.
The song is like hot, "I Think They Like Me." Was that
song always you all's song? Was it featured on your first
album?
Dem
Franchise Boyz-Yeah it was featured
on our first album. It's number one in the country. We
are just chillin. It was on our first album. Hooked up
with J.D., man remixed it one time with the Remix King
and it is what it is.
How did you all hook up with J.D.?
Dem Franchise
Boyz-We been had a past relationship
with J.D. as far as with the music. We had a few meetings
with him so you know we just called him up and this what
it is and it is what it is.
When does the new album come out?
Dem
Franchise Boyz-February 7th, On Top
of Our Game.
Are you all finished recording it?
Dem Franchise
Boyz-Yep.
What can you tell me about the new album?
Dem Franchise
Boyz-It's unpredictable man, it's the
unexpected.
Well what does that mean? You can't tell me?
Dem
Franchise Boyz--Awe
man, everything on the market. You ain't gonna be able
to think about what you are about to hear. We coming at
all different sides and all different flavors. We got
all kinda features on the album…different beats…we on
a whole 'nother thing.
Can you tell me what artists you have on the album?
Dem
Franchise Boyz---We
really want to keep it secret right now. We have to build
the suspense before the album comes out but I will say we
have the So So Def Family on the album.
So you have this hot song out right now, what are
you guys doing until the album comes out?
Dem
Franchise Boyz--We
just got off the Hitman DJ So So Def tour. We are doing
promotion dates. We going to tour with Bow
Wow in December. We got a West Coast tour,
we are doing a lot of things.
I have to ask this question because I interviewed Boyz
N Da Hood earlier this year. Do you all plan to stay
a group as one for awhile?
Dem
Franchise Boyz--Yeah
man. We been at it for three years man. We done. We been
getting money. It's four of us. We 25%. It take four 25's
to make 100%. We 100% concrete.
How long have you been making music together?
Dem
Franchise Boyz-Three years.
What kind of music are you all feeling right now?
Dem
Franchise Boyz--
We all like different kinds of music. If it sounds good
it sounds good. R&B, hip-hop, country, it don't matter.
Do you all have big plans for Thanksgiving?
Dem
Franchise Boyz--You
know we cook it up big. I might cook the whole hood dinner.
There's no telling.
What do you all like to do when you aren't recording?
Dem
Franchise Boyz-Smoke.
Do you drink too or just smoke?
Dem
Franchise Boyz-You

Do you all be hitting the clubs up?
Dem
Franchise Boyz-Yeah

we give back to the community, we just chill, go to the
club, we ain't no rappers, we just know how to say a couple
words. We like Dr. Seuss, we still do the same stuff we
used to do.
Do you all play video games?
